Summer VBS

St. Mary's kicked off its weeklong Vacation Bible School Program on Monday, July 25, 2016 under the leadership of Junior Warden, Erin Bartley.   A dozen children and volunteers went on a deep-sea discovery exploring the depths of God's love.    An ocean atmosphere prevailed in the Parish Hall where students moved from station to station that included storytelling, music, crafts, snacks and recreation.

For the second year in a row, Mary Barber led our adult bible school.  The weeklong event culminated with the children performing songs, telling stories and displaying their crafts.  Family, friends, children and volunteers enjoyed a taco dinner with an ice cream sundae bar to follow.

Plans for the 2017 VBS will take on a new look.  Rather than offering resident children a week of bible study, three days will be set aside this summer from 8:00am through 4:30pm.  This year's VBS is offering moms and dads a day off while their children participate in bible study, crafts, activities, music and prayer surrounding the theme 'The Life of Jesus'.  The first get together will be June 17, followed by July 15 and August 19.
