"Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God."  Romans 15:7

*The Diocese of Virginia has given permission for churches to hold outdoor worship services. Beginning Sunday July 19th, we will hold outdoor worship at the garden behind the Parish Hall at 8 AM, weather permitting. At that hour, the heat should not be a factor.

Attendees at the outdoor service are asked to:

  • Bring their own chairs if at all possible (chairs will be provided to those who cannot bring their own)
  • Wear masks
  • Keep 6 feet of distance between individuals or family groups. So, a family or couple may sit together, but must be 6 feet away from the next closest family unit or solo attendee.

The service will be Morning Prayer, without Communion. The diocese has not yet given permission for the distribution of Communion elements.

The service will be printed in full in the bulletin, so prayer books will not be needed.

We look forward to seeing all who feel comfortable attending!

Welcome to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Colonial Beach, VA.  Thank you for visiting our website.

Although small, we are a vital church that takes its responsibility to love God and our neighbors quite seriously.  Browse through the website to see how we engage in the community with a Food Pantry, monthly Community Lunch, Thrift Shop, Nursing Home and Holiday Outreach, extension to the wider community through other’s use of our Parish Hall – to name a few ways in which we serve others and vow to be a beacon of hope in our community and beyond.
