Dear St. Mary’s Parishioners,

During this difficult time while we cannot worship and enjoy fellowship in person, we are pleased with your generosity and for maintaining your donations.  To facilitate electronic giving (E-Giving), the link below brings you to the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia.

It is preferable that those who give in more traditional ways, e-check from your bank (your bank can provide information on this process), paper checks, and cash, continue to do so.

All E-Giving tools, including the Diocese tool, have transaction costs (up to 3% of donation) which reduce the amount of the donation received.  The percentage may seem small, but adds up the more donations are submitted that way (e.g., if we receive annual donations of $30,000 that way, we lose over $1000 of that money to transactions costs).

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of St. Mary’s during this challenging time and we look forward to worshiping in person.

These are the instructions for giving electronically to St. Mary’s using the Diocese tool:

    1. Go to the Diocese webpage: https://secure.accessacs.com/access/oglogin.aspx?sn=154469&f=2

2. Enter the amount you want to give.

3. Select “My Church” in the [To] Field.

4. Enter “St. Mary’s Colonial Bch” in the [Memo] Field.

5. Enter your email address in the [email address] Field.

6. It will give you the option of “Continuing as a Guest” or “Creating an Account”.  If you choose “Creating an Account”, you will get an automated follow-up email to set your password, etc.

7. You will choose whether to give by Credit/Debit card or directly from your Checking or Savings account.  The transaction fees are lower if you give directly from your Checking or Savings account.

8. Fill in your billing name and address information completely.

9. When you select “Give”, your transaction will be processed and you will receive a confirmation email which you should retain for your records.  The donation will be reflected in your end-of-year tax letter.
